Website privacy policy

This policy explains how this website, operated by Camilo Ruiz, DO, PA (“Sleep & Internal Medicine Specialists”), handles information about visitors. It covers the website only. How we use and protect your medical information as a patient is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, available from the office.

Appointment requests

Our request form asks only for your name, phone number, an optional email, the general reason for your request, the best time to reach you. It also notes how you first found our website (for example, Google search) and the first page you visited, which your browser remembers on your device. It doesn’t ask for health information, so please don’t include any. Your request is emailed to our office team so they can contact you, along with a confirmation to you. The website itself doesn’t store it, and we don’t sell or share it for marketing.

Send health information only to our HIPAA-secure email (drcamiloruiz@myupdox.com) or secure fax ((954) 839-6923), never through the website form or social media.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read, so we can improve the site. It collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. We don’t send Google any health information, and we have turned off Google signals and ad personalization. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on.

Maps, reviews and links

The map on our location page loads from Google only if you choose to show it. The route maps on our area pages load from Google Maps when you scroll to them, and Google may set its own cookies.
Reviews shown on the home page come from our public Google Business Profile.
Sleep guides link to somnera.ai, a separate website with its own privacy policy.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart. The site doesn’t use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
